A visual development tool for designing and for simulation of intelligent buildings.
ExHomeDesigner is an application of the category of visual modeling CAD/CAE tools which allows to the architect to visually project and place the objects into the intelligent buildings and to define their functional boundaries among them. What the intelligent buildings are I describe more closely by realization of intelligent buildings.
The way of the architect's work is the main advantage of ExHomeDesigner - the modeling of the smart house is done in a visual editor.
In one day a customers can see one of the first functional designs of their home.
Smart home doesn't represent just a residential unit. It also represents what is related with it. Gardens, garages, swimming pools, sewer, roads. Everything that is above and below ground, in the well and also on the roof.
ExHomeDesigner enables a comprehensive design and simulation of all of these elements.
For larger installations there were also 50 km of cables and 10 000 electrical components in the house. All of them are divided into the logical groups and categories. The architect can choose freely with which tools he wants to work with.
The applications, like this one, cannot be done without mathematics. ExHomeDesigner can show to the architect a lot about statistical data of the implementations. Cable lenghts, number of pieces, the price for the realization, duration of the implementation...
It is possible to reach the top quality only with enormous efforts during the testing and output control. We developed ExHomeDesigner with great emphasis on this attribute. It includes the tools for an effective adding of new and robust tests and for validations of new proposed solutions.
Everything, that system does, could be traced by debugger. All of that is done in realtime, with the possibility of filtering and with the pause function for a better comfort.
It is possible to see every transmitted command between each of the house compounds. Every curious user, with a basic knowledge of english, can understand the electronic whisper of the components.
Technical data are transferred into visually appealing looks within the technological process named 'rendering'.
Finally, the architect and the client can enjoy their creations.
